The U.S. Civil Aviation Authority has banned the use of aircraft and the transport of 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops that were released between 2015 and 2017. These are computers that are referred to as problematic due to batteries prone to ignition.
As NPR recalls, in June 2019, Apple launched a campaign to recall some past laptop models of the MacBook Pro line, saying that the batteries installed in them could ignite when overheated. You can check whether the computer is subject to a review, on the Apple website, indicating its serial number.
According to Bloomberg, some international airlines have also banned the transportation of these laptops.
